First off, IBC makes it into the top tier of root beers for nostalgia alone. It was one of the first root beers I have ever tried and I remember drinking it many times during my childhood. It’s almost everywhere I look during my search for different brands and at Wal Mart it costs less than $1 a bottle. Plus it tastes great. It’s very smooth with a great caramel flavor. There’s no aftertaste and more importantly there is nothing that would give anyone pause to not drink it. There’s no bitter harshness or overwhelming flavor for the more casual root beer fan. It can please the masses well and is widely accessible and for that, it’s definitely in the top tier of brands I have tried thus far.
