I’ve had regular Dad’s before. It’s a solid root beer. It’s not one of my top favorites but if it’s available, I would recommend it. Now, when it comes to the diet root beers, they typically fall a notch or two down from their regular versions. Trust me, this is my 51st root beer I’ve tried. I knew going in that the diet version of Dad’s would be average at best and I was right. It’s a solid choice if you’re trying to cut calories. But for me, it had a slight bitter aftertaste. It has a smooth, light caramel flavor though and overall, probably one of the better diet root beers that I’ve tried.
