No. 53 – Old Keg

Spoiler alert, this one took me by surprise. I googled this brand and came up with literally no results. No website, no official reviews, no mentions anywhere. I bought it from an online retailer and it was the first I have ever heard of it. It tastes great! It has a slight bite that is similar to Barq’s but it goes away as you get past halfway. It has a smooth caramel flavor with a hint of wintergreen that’s barely noticeable. The aftertaste is a slightly sweet honey that lingered for a while in my mouth. It’s a top tier root beer for me. If you happen to come across it and love root beer then you’ll love this one.
