No. 64 – Fireman’s Brew

Do I want to fight fires after drinking Fireman’s Brew? No, not really. I’ll leave that to my brother in law & the experts. But do I want to drink Fireman’s Brew again after trying it the first time? Sure! This brand, believe it or not, was actually created by firemen. They make several other sodas as well as actual beers and coffee. My wife tried the cream soda & she mentioned it’s solid. The root beer is solid as well. It’s not quite top tier but it’s a great above average root beer. The taste is a little complex. It has a great mix of vanilla, root beer spices, and even a hint of licorice. There is a light wintergreen flavor in the aftertaste. Overall, the flavors coalesce well and it’s such a smooth tasting drink. After a couple of root beers that fell below my expectations, this one gave me hope that there are some more good ones out there I’ve yet to try.
