My root beer brothers David Chovan & Chris Sawyer both had differing opinions of Dublin. Chris said it was very good & enjoyed it while David was more mixed on it. What happens when I get such different opinions from people I trust? It just means that I got to review it with a different shade of lens. And after drinking it, I have to side with David but no hard feelings Chris, you were the one who gave me this root beer so many thanks! It has a nice carbonation up front but gives way to a quick, fleeting spice that hits the tongue with little in the way of actual flavor and taste. The aftertaste does have a nice vanilla/caramel combination but it gets more sweet as you drink it. I am going to quote David in saying it’s better than average but for me, it’s just slightly over the edge. If I hadn’t written down in my notes on my phone, I would have completely forgotten about the drink an hour later. Everything is bigger in Texas but not everything is better in Texas. I want to say this is the first root beer I have had from the Lone Star state. I’m hoping it’s not my last, especially with the vastness of the state, there’s got to be other local root beers around. And soon, be on the lookout for review Number 100! Until then, cheers
