No. 105 – Boots

“Keep your hopes low & you won’t be disappointed.” Honestly, my hopes were already pretty low so I wasn’t so disappointed when I began to drank this. In a previous review, I mentioned sarsaparilla drinks are far too bitter for my liking. Whenever I exhaust all my root beer options, I definitely don’t plan to do a sarsaparilla safari. Boots definitely makes a pretty good combination of the two drinks together. There is a slight bitterness from the sarsaparilla & a slight creaminess from the root beer. There is a light caramel flavor with vanilla putting in a lot of work in the aftertaste. There’s also a few spices at work that sit on the back of the tongue long after you drink it. As far as i know, there’s not many labels that prominently show the founder of the company & as you can see on the label, he is shown on the right. It’s an average drink for me, largely brought down by the bitterness of the sarsaparilla. And, unfortunately, this a Texas drink & so far, root beer from the Lone Star state have been rather underwhelming.
