No. 119 – Bawls

As a glass half full kind of guy, I’ve tried to come up with something positive for this review. It was difficult but, in the end, the bottle with the bumps all around (for extra grip I guess?) is kind of cool. Other than that, I’m very indifferent on this root beer. It’s sweetened with high fructose corn syrup & I guess because of that, it’s incredibly sweet. It has a strange fruity flavor throughout. And unlike most root beers, because it contains guarana, it has a lot of caffeine in the bottle, though nowhere near as much as the energy drinks (i.e. Monster) that you can find out there. Honestly, because of the high caffeine, the taste, and the sweetness, I couldn’t finish it. There’s nothing here that would warrant me coming back for more & honestly, I don’t see me recommending this to anyone. So, as much as it pains me, don’t waste your time and money with this one. There are clearly way better options in the root beer market to find. And if you are looking for a fully caffeinated root beer that actually tastes good, try Sprecher Rev’d Up.
