No. 121 – Labrador

No. 121 – Labrador

Dang Butterscotch is in the Top 5 of all time root beers for me. It also was the very first root beer I ever reviewed. So, I know what a good, balanced root beer should taste like with butterscotch. It’s definitely playing in the major leagues. And Labrador is playing on an amateur league circuit. It’s not even in the minor leagues. The taste of the root beer is so watered down and for a lack of better word, hollow. The butterscotch basically jumps in during the last minute with the aftertaste but honestly, it’s overpowered by a minty wintergreen flavor. If you blindfolded me and gave this to me, perhaps I couldn’t even distinguish a butterscotch flavor. There are way better options in the field of root beer butterscotch that are not named Dang: O-So is another great brew. I can’t recommend this one over any other one and while it’s not totally undrinkable it only can get up to a below average ranking for me.
